Accounts Receivable Manager

Leading innovations and global manufacturer with corporate operations based in Charlotte is seeking a receivables manager for a direct hire opportunity! Extensive presence in big box retail chains such as Walmart, Lowe's, Home Depot, and Amazon and committed to delivering high-quality products and maintaining strong partnerships with our retail clients.

Position Overview:
As the Accounts Receivable Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the entire accounts receivable process for our sales at major retail outlets. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the timely collection of outstanding payments, maintain accurate records, and coordinate closely with internal teams and external partners to optimize cash flow.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Accounts Receivable Management: Oversee the end-to-end receivables process, including invoicing, payment tracking, and reconciliation for sales made to major retail clients.

  2. Collections and Payment Coordination: Implement strategies to expedite collections and reduce outstanding receivables. Coordinate with internal teams and external clients to resolve payment discrepancies and ensure timely receipts. Managing the cash application process. 

  3. Financial Reporting: Generate and analyze reports related to accounts receivable, providing insights into aging receivables, cash flow, and performance metrics. Utilize high-level MS Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables, to create comprehensive reports.

  4. Systems Management: Leverage previous experience working in SAP to optimize the use of the system in managing receivables. Ensure accurate and efficient data entry and use of the system for streamlined processes.

  5. Process Improvement: Identify areas for enhancement within the accounts receivable process, proposing and implementing improvements to increase efficiency and minimize outstanding payments.

  6. Relationship Management: Collaborate closely with sales teams, clients, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency in accounts receivable activities.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field ideal 
  2. Proven experience in managing accounts receivable, preferably in a manufacturing or retail industry dealing with big box retailers.
  3. Proficiency in SAP and advanced MS Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and generate actionable insights.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various teams and external stakeholders.
  6. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently to meet deadlines.
