Job Description
Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager for New Product Development to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process for all materials needed for new product development, ensuring timely delivery of materials and working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute sourcing strategies.
Key Responsibilities: • Collaborate with the new product development team to identify materials and suppliers needed for new product development. • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for new product development, ensuring that cost, quality, and delivery targets are met. • Manage supplier relationships, including negotiating pricing and contracts, and ensuring supplier performance meets established standards. • Monitor market trends and identify new sources of supply to ensure the most cost-effective procurement of materials. • Work closely with the manufacturing team to ensure that materials are delivered on time and in compliance with specifications. • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams. • Develop and manage procurement budgets for new product development projects.
Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field • Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management, with a focus on new product development • Strong negotiation skills and experience in managing supplier relationships • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint • Experience with ERP systems is preferred
