Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Buyer to join our procurement team. In this role, you will be responsible for purchasing materials, supplies, and equipment needed to support our business operations. You will also be responsible for managing relationships with suppliers and negotiating contracts to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Key Responsibilities: • Source and purchase materials, supplies, and equipment needed to support business operations. • Evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance and negotiate contracts to ensure timely delivery of goods and services. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize purchasing needs. • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure continuity of supply and resolve any issues that may arise. • Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock is available to support business operations. • Develop and maintain procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and company standards. • Monitor market trends and identify new sources of supply to ensure the most cost-effective procurement of materials.
Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, with a focus on supplier management and contract negotiation. • Strong negotiation skills and experience in managing supplier relationships. • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. • Experience with ERP systems is preferred.
