Position summary:
As the Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient assembly and production of industrial equipment within our manufacturing facility. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our production processes are optimized for maximum output, while developing and maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Your leadership and operational expertise will be crucial in achieving production targets, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and upholding our commitment to delivering superior products to clients.
What you will be responsible for:
- Lead and manage a team of production staff, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure that all production targets are met within set timelines.
- Develop and implement comprehensive production plans and strategies to optimize manufacturing efficiency, minimize downtime, and reduce production costs while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring that raw materials and resources are readily available to support uninterrupted production processes.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality control, and supply chain, to streamline production workflows and resolve any operational challenges.
- Implement and enforce strict safety protocols and quality control measures to guarantee compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement innovative manufacturing techniques to enhance overall productivity and product quality.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and promote a culture of continuous learning and development within the production team.
- Analyze production data and generate comprehensive reports to assess key performance indicators (KPIs), identify areas for improvement, and make informed decisions to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Maintain a strong focus on cost control, budget management, and resource allocation to ensure optimal utilization of resources and adherence to financial targets.
What makes you a fit:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management or operations leadership role within the manufacturing industry, preferably in assembly-based production environments.
- Proven track record of successfully managing production teams and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, inventory management, and quality control standards.
- Strong leadership abilities with exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in utilizing manufacturing software and tools for data analysis and process optimization.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while effectively managing multiple priorities.
