As a Senior Equipment Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in the design, analysis, and optimization of high-temperature equipment. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the performance, reliability, and safety of our products. You will lead a team of engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop cutting-edge solutions that meet customer requirements and industry standards.
- Lead the design and analysis of high-temperature equipment, such as furnaces, kilns, ovens, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, scrubber systems, and related components.
- Utilize engineering principles, computational tools, and simulation software to model, analyze, and optimize equipment performance, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and structural integrity.
- Conduct feasibility studies and provide input during the conceptual and detailed design phases of projects.
- Collaborate with customers, sales teams, and project managers to understand project requirements and develop innovative equipment solutions.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to ensure accurate manufacturing and construction.
- Perform risk assessments, failure mode and effects analyses (FMEA), and safety evaluations to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Support manufacturing, installation, and commissioning activities, providing technical guidance and troubleshooting as needed.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing technical guidance, reviewing designs, and ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies, materials, and industry best practices related to high-temperature equipment design and analysis.
- Collaborate with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to source components, conduct vendor evaluations, and ensure timely delivery of equipment.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, performance, and customer satisfaction.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Extensive experience in the design, analysis, and optimization of high-temperature equipment, including furnaces, kilns, ovens, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, scrubber systems, etc.
- Strong knowledge of heat transfer, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and structural analysis.
- Proficiency in engineering design software and simulation tools, such as CAD, FEA, CFD, and heat transfer modeling.
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards, including ASME, API, NFPA, and other relevant regulations.
- Proven experience in leading and managing complex engineering projects.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to apply engineering principles to resolve technical challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, and suppliers.
