Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Food Scientist to join our dynamic research and development team. The Senior Food Scientist will play a key role in leading product development initiatives, conducting research, and driving innovation across our portfolio of food products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food science, with expertise in food chemistry, formulation, and product optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of new food and beverage products from concept to commercialization, including formulation, prototyping, and scale-up activities.
  • Conduct research to identify emerging trends, ingredients, and technologies in the food industry, and translate findings into innovative product concepts and solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, culinary, and manufacturing, to define project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Design and execute experiments to optimize product formulations, flavors, textures, and nutritional profiles, while ensuring sensory acceptance and consumer appeal.
  • Perform ingredient functionality assessments, stability testing, and shelf-life studies to ensure product quality and safety.
  • Utilize analytical techniques and instrumentation, such as HPLC, GC, and microscopy, to analyze food components, identify compounds, and assess product characteristics.
  • Develop and validate analytical methods for routine quality control testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
  • Generate technical documentation, including product specifications, manufacturing procedures, and regulatory compliance documentation, to support product commercialization.
  • Stay informed about regulatory requirements, food safety standards, and industry best practices, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members, providing guidance and support in their professional development and growth.


  • BS or Master's degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in food product development and research, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food chemistry, ingredient functionality, and food processing technologies.
  • Proficiency in experimental design, statistical analysis, and data interpretation.
  • Experience with sensory evaluation techniques and consumer testing methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for quality and continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements, food safety standards, and quality management systems.
