About the Role

Are you ready to take your financial expertise to the next level? As a Financial Reporting Specialist, you’ll be at the heart of our financial operations, preparing critical reports, developing policies, and collaborating with teams across the globe. Join us and play a pivotal role in shaping our financial landscape.
In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Report Preparation: Craft and distribute comprehensive quarterly and annual financial reports, ensuring they meet internal and external stakeholder requirements and strict deadlines.
  • Financial Statements: Generate and consolidate monthly and quarterly financial statements.
  • Policy Development: Assist in creating and enforcing financial reporting policies and procedures.
  • Technical Research: Conduct in-depth technical accounting research, creating position papers to document appropriate accounting treatments for new transactions or standards, including detailed footnotes.
  • Cash Flow Management: Ensure accurate classification of cash flows for monthly transactions.
  • GL Account Mapping: Recommend and oversee the mapping of new General Ledger (GL) accounts and adjustments.
  • Analytical Validation: Perform rigorous analytical procedures to validate monthly reports, working closely with both local and international accounting teams to guarantee data accuracy.
  • Education and Collaboration: Partner with business leaders from various functions to educate and ensure understanding of technical accounting matters, compliance with controls, and adoption of new accounting standards.
  • Audit Support: Provide crucial support to external auditors by planning and monitoring interim and year-end audit activities and coordinating with business partners.
  • Journal Entries and Reconciliations: Execute necessary journal entries and reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.

Required Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Educational Background: Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Experience: Bring 3-5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or financial reporting with a track record of success.
  • Professional Certification: CPA designation or progress towards CPA certification is highly desirable.
  • Analytical Expert: Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Team Player: Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Detail-Oriented: Exhibit exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Communicator: Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Organized: Display strong organizational skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative: Able to work cross-functionally and maintain effective working relationships within the finance and accounting organization, including controllership, FP&A, general accounting, and treasury.
  • Cultural Fit: Show a desire to build institutional knowledge and immerse yourself in the company’s values to drive a positive culture.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient in using financial systems and reporting packages, with experience in Workday being a plus.
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency: Skilled in using Microsoft Office products.
