Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Product Engineer with a passion for developing products that are used in a variety of industries including industrial equipment, heavy machinery, automotive, etc. As a Product Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of innovative products, ensuring they meet industry standards, performance requirements, and customer expectations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive product excellence from concept to production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop automotive products, systems, and components, considering safety, performance, and quality standards.
- Create prototypes and conduct feasibility studies to validate product concepts and identify potential design improvements.
- Plan, execute, and analyze tests to validate product performance and durability, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare detailed product specifications, engineering drawings, and documentation for manufacturing and quality control processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and designers, to ensure seamless product integration.
- Conduct cost analyses and optimization studies to ensure competitive pricing while maintaining product quality.
- Identify opportunities for product improvements and innovation, staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Implement quality control processes and work closely with the quality assurance team to maintain high product standards.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to develop and optimize efficient and cost-effective manufacturing processes.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing teams, addressing production-related issues, and implementing corrective actions to improve product quality and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of product design experience.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and engineering analysis tools.
- Strong knowledge of design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with product testing and validation.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and standards (e.g., ISO, IATF) is a plus.
