Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled Electrical Controls Engineer with extensive experience in Siemens PLCs, troubleshooting, and programming. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining electrical control systems, ensuring the efficient operation of our systems and machinery.
- Design, develop, and implement electrical control systems using Siemens PLCs and other related technologies.
- Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis of electrical control system issues, resolving them in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Develop and maintain PLC programs, HMI interfaces, and other control software to optimize system performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of electrical control systems with mechanical and software components.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
- Conduct tests and validation processes to ensure the reliability and safety of control systems.
- Document all engineering designs, modifications, and maintenance activities.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve systems and processes.
- Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours emergency support as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical controls engineering
- Proficiency in Siemens PLC programming (Step 7, TIA Portal, etc.).
- Strong troubleshooting skills and experience in identifying and resolving electrical control system issues.
- Familiarity with HMI and SCADA systems.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Profibus, Profinet, Modbus, etc.).
- Experience with electrical CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN).
