We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Benefit Deduction Accountant to join our finance team. As a Benefit Deduction Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and compliant processing of employee benefit deductions. Your focus will be on maintaining precise records, performing reconciliations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to guarantee smooth and error-free benefits administration.
- Accurately calculate and process employee benefit deductions, including health insurance, retirement plans, flexible spending accounts, and other voluntary deductions.
- Verify data inputs and deductions against company policies, employment agreements, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure timely and accurate deduction processing in payroll systems.
- Regularly reconcile benefit deduction records between various systems, such as payroll, HRIS, and benefits administration platforms.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or anomalies in deduction amounts, contributing to data accuracy and compliance.
- Stay informed about relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations impacting benefit deductions and employee benefits.
- Ensure all benefit deductions are processed in accordance with legal and company guidelines.
- Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and Benefits teams to ensure accurate and up-to-date deduction information for employees.
- Communicate effectively with employees regarding benefit deduction-related inquiries, providing exceptional customer service.
- Experience working w/ Accounting at least 2+ years
- Experience w/ Accounting in Payroll or Benefits division
- Excellent experience with Excel – Ask about experience w/ Excel
- Experience making deduction in employee benefits
- Monday – Friday
- 8am – 5pm
