Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Controller with substantial leadership experience to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in the manufacturing industry and demonstrated expertise in cost and inventory accounting. This role requires overseeing the month-end close process and providing strategic insights to aid in budgeting and forecasting efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Oversee daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial activities.
  • Manage cost accounting processes, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of inventory transactions and balances.
  • Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring all financial statements and reports are completed accurately and on time.
  • Reconcile accounts, review journal entries, and prepare financial statements.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop budgets and forecasts, providing financial insights and recommendations.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement, supporting strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations and accounting standards.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, stakeholders, and external auditors.
  • Communicate financial performance, risks, and opportunities effectively across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of cost accounting principles and inventory management.
  • Strong proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
