Job Description

As an HRIS Expert specializing in ADP Workforce Benefits, you will be instrumental in managing, optimizing, and administering the benefits module within our ADP Workforce Now platform. Your role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities, including system configuration, enrollment management, compliance, data analysis, and user support. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accurate and efficient administration of employee benefits programs, leveraging your expertise in ADP Workforce Benefits to support the organization's HR objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
System Configuration and Maintenance:

  • Configure and maintain the benefits module within the ADP Workforce Now platform, ensuring accurate setup of benefit plans, eligibility rules, coverage options, and contribution rates.
  • Collaborate with HR and benefits teams to implement changes to benefit plans, such as plan design modifications, premium adjustments, and new benefit offerings.
  • Conduct regular audits and system checks to ensure data integrity, system accuracy, and compliance with benefit plan requirements and regulations.

Enrollment Management:

  • Oversee the benefits enrollment process, including open enrollment periods, new hire enrollments, qualifying life events, and other enrollment activities.
  • Coordinate communication efforts to educate employees about benefit options, enrollment deadlines, and plan changes, leveraging ADP Workforce Now's communication tools.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees navigating the benefits enrollment process, assisting with plan selection, coverage elections, and beneficiary designations.

Compliance and Regulatory Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing employee benefits, including but not limited to the Affordable Care Act (ACA), ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and other applicable laws.
  • Generate and submit required regulatory reports and filings, such as Form 5500, ACA reporting (1094-C/1095-C), and summary plan descriptions (SPDs), utilizing ADP Workforce Now's reporting capabilities.
  • Stay abreast of changes in benefit laws and regulations, proactively updating benefit plans, processes, and communications to maintain compliance.

Data Management and Analysis:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date benefit-related data within the ADP Workforce Now system, including employee eligibility, enrollment status, dependent information, and benefit elections.
  • Generate standard and ad-hoc reports to analyze benefit utilization, costs, trends, and other key metrics, providing insights to HR, benefits, and finance teams.
  • Conduct periodic audits and data validation checks to ensure data accuracy, identify discrepancies, and reconcile data inconsistencies with payroll and HR records.

User Training and Support:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for ADP Workforce Benefits, providing training, guidance, and technical support to HR staff, benefits administrators, and employees.
  • Develop and deliver training materials, user guides, and documentation to educate users on benefits-related processes, system functionalities, and best practices.
  • Address user inquiries, troubleshoot system issues, and escalate complex technical problems to ADP support or IT teams as needed.


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in benefits administration, HRIS management, or a similar role, with a focus on ADP Workforce Benefits.
  • In-depth knowledge of employee benefits laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now, particularly in the benefits module, including setup, configuration, and administration.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • ADP Workforce Now certification or equivalent credentials preferred.
