Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Legal Counsel to join their dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, managing interactions with healthcare professionals (HCPs), and supporting international legal matters. This role requires a strong understanding of healthcare compliance, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to lead internal investigations.

Key Responsibilities:
Establishing Health Care Compliance Program:

  • Conduct Compliance Risk Assessments to identify potential legal and regulatory risks.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain company Policies & Procedures to ensure compliance with healthcare laws and regulations.
  • Design and deliver Training programs for employees on compliance-related topics.
  • Perform Auditing & Monitoring activities to ensure ongoing adherence to compliance standards.

Managing Company Interactions with HCPs:

  • Oversee the preparation of Needs Assessments to determine the necessity and scope of interactions with HCPs.
  • Prepare and negotiate HCP consulting agreements, ensuring all engagements comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to ensure ethical and compliant interactions with HCPs.

Lead Internal Investigations:

  • Assist in leading internal investigations related to compliance issues, ensuring thorough and timely resolution.

Support International Legal Matters:

  • Negotiate and draft distributor agreements to support the company’s global operations.
  • Establish and maintain a privacy compliance program to ensure the company’s data practices adhere to international privacy laws and regulations.


  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and an active law license.
  • Active bar membership in good standing.
  • 5- 10 years of experience in a legal role, preferably within the healthcare industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare compliance regulations and laws.
  • Proven experience in managing interactions with HCPs and negotiating complex agreements.
  • Strong understanding of international legal matters, particularly related to distribution and privacy compliance.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience leading internal investigations.
  • Familiarity with global privacy regulations, such as GDPR.
